Hotels/Accomodations/Public transportation

Use your favorite hotel search engine to find hotels and accomodations in and around Augsburg. The festival location is in the southern part of the city. There is a tram (Line 1) going between the Augsburg city center and the location stop "Göggingen Rathaus" every 15 minutes until midnight. Total trip time is about 15 minutes. For more information on the local Augsburg public transportation, visit the SWA or AVV websites, or install the SWA app. Google maps unfortunately doesn't yet have the local transportation information.

You can also stay in surrounding cities, like Munich, and take the train to the festival. It's about a 30 minute trip between Munich and Augsburg on the fast trains. Keep in mind that Oktoberfest will be during the same weekend and places tend to get booked up quickly - in both Munich and Augsburg. For train information visit the Die Bahn website, be sure to check out their special/regional offers like the "Bayern ticket".
